My decoater is not working

My de- coater is not working....

Even though I extended the exposure time, there does not happen anything at all…

In this case, usually the too long exposure time caused your problems… “let it work well ”, does not mean the longer the better.  Never allow your de-coater to dry out on the copy layer. If you leave the de-coater on the screen too long, it will start to dry .In this moment there will happen a chemical reaction, which effects that your de-coater cures completely and the only solution is stringing your screen completely new then…

Our recommendation

Put enough de- coating emulsion on your screen, a usual kitchen sponge works well for it…brush it on both sides, don’t be thrifty, the thinner the film, the faster it starts drying on your screen. After a short exposure time you can see how the de-coater reacts. Depending on the solids content of the copy layer you can see the reaction in form of getting greasy or removing of the copy layer. This is the time for rinsing the copy layer with water, we recommend a high-pressure cleaner.

Keep in shape with screen-printing!

It depends on the proper technique…

Tensed up neck? Aching fingers? Muscle ache in the belly? Screen printing is not only funny, it can also be very strenuous…For sure, it is a question of habituation first…but having pain while printing is not necessary at all…

Note a few thing and the fun factor will prevail then...

  • The height of your printing table: you should stand up straight as possible
  • Do not cramp your shoulders
  • Do not cramp your fingers
  • Don’t forget to breathe

If you pay attention to this these little tips you won’t go to the gym that often ;-)
